I have become my parents...

I have become like both of my parents in so many ways - I have become even more like my mother, as I prefer to have my camera with me at all times. The only difference is hers was a 35 mm, and mine is digital, so I produce photographs as well as videos of people and places, including sometimes myself.

I have become even more like my father as I love to write more and more every day lately. I want to begin writing a "column" and keep on writing articles. And in the meantime, I continue my ongoing book project. My favorite "alone" time is when I write while playing music. I feel inspired so much during these moments.

Currently, I am listening to "Summertime" by Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong, which was my parents' wedding song.

May the influence of my parents continue to strengthen me in my love and passion for Journalism. And may they be proud to know their daughter carries on their legacy as they watch from up above.
